How It All Began –
A Little About Me
I’m Caroline, and I want to share a bit about my journey, hoping it resonates with those who need to know they’re not alone.
I grew up on a horse stud farm in Southern Tasmania, surrounded by animals and nature, which became my happy place. My parents ran a family business that I worked in from a young age, learning the ins and outs of business and people.
In 2003, a workplace accident changed everything. The injury left lasting physical and emotional scars, leaving me with chronic pain, a loss of identity, and a deep struggle with my self-worth. For years, I battled with the stigma surrounding workplace injuries and a broken workers' compensation system, which only deepened my sense of helplessness and despair.
I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD), and later Fibromyalgia – conditions that offered no cure. Simple tasks such as washing up became monumental challenges, and my mental health spiralled. Yet, over time, I found strength in the journey, learning resilience, hope, and gratitude.
I’m humbled and proud to share that I’ve achieved what medical experts once said was impossible. From starting with just 10 minutes of walking (I had to build up to this), to recently completing a 5K Park Run—at a steady walking pace—in just over an hour, it’s been an incredible journey. I was told this day would never come, not to even dream of it, and yet here I am, proving that perseverance and a desire to change my reality can create miracles.
This experience awakened a deep desire within me to help others discover their own healing and inner strength. Being naturally empathic and sensitive, I’ve learned the vital importance of protecting my energy and nurturing my wellbeing.
My Life journey that included my desire to understand myself and others more deeply inspired me to become a Spiritual Counsellor in 2001, where I delved into making spirituality both practical and supportive for everyday life. Along the way, I discovered the power of self-compassion and balance—insights I now share with clients, especially those who feel overwhelmed or misunderstood.
I've navigated not only personal pain but also grief and loss, including the deaths of my father and brother. I understand that grief isn’t just about mourning physical loss—it can involve the loss of identity, relationships, and dreams. I’m passionate about supporting others through all forms of grief and loss, offering a holistic approach that nurtures healing and growth.
Today, I celebrate my life, a testament to the power of resilience, hope, and the transformative nature of inner strength. My mission is to guide others in finding their own path to wellness, healing, and fulfilment. I’m here to show you that recovery is possible, and hope is always within reach.

“Why do you do/say the things you do, in the ways you do?”
With over 25 years of research and practical application, understanding personality traits has transformed how I communicate and connect. Gaining clarity about yourself—whether it’s as an introvert, extrovert, or somewhere in between—can be life-changing!
This insight helps improve not only how you understand yourself but also how you relate to others. If this resonates, explore more about personality traits and the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) on my website and blog.

Do you suspect you—or someone you care about—might be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)? Understanding this trait can be life-changing!
Start here: Take the HSP Test on Dr Elaine Aron’s website, the global expert on HSPs. Her research reveals that 15–20% of the population (approximately 1.2 to 1.6 billion people worldwide) are HSPs. News flash: There’s nothing wrong with you! Sensitivity exists on a spectrum, and while not everyone identifies as highly sensitive, many exhibit traits to varying degrees.
What It Means to Be a HSP
HSPs experience heightened sensitivity to emotional, sensory, and environmental factors. Empaths, for example, often score highly on the HSP scale, but not all HSPs are empaths. (Check out Dr Judith Orloff’s research or my blog for more on this.)
A key question: How do you manage overstimulation of your senses? Learning about your needs—or the needs of someone in your life—learning new ways to achieve a sense of calm in your nervous system can transform relationships, self-care, and well-being.
My Personal Journey as an HSP & Empath
"Discovering I was both an HSP and an empath was the missing piece of the puzzle for me. I finally understood why I often feel and respond differently to the ‘other 80% of the population’.
Dr Aron’s D.O.E.S. Model and newer research into High Sensation Seeking (HSS) traits, introversion, and extroversion helped me understand my own needs and the strengths that come with this trait.
Being an HSP is not a disorder; it’s a strength—when balanced with self-care and knowledge.
I’ve spent many years researching tools and techniques to thrive as an HSP, and I’m passionate about helping others embrace this unique trait and utilise all the advantages that being sensitive offers us individually and the world at large.
Whether it’s understanding yourself or supporting a partner, child, friend, or co-worker, I’m here to share insights, resources, and support to navigate the challenges and celebrate the incredible advantages of being highly sensitive."
